The Integrator
It all has to fit somewhere. You're halfway through a work project when school pickup changes. Then dinner still needs to happen. Then the email you forgot about suddenly matters again….You don't struggle because work matters. Not even because family matters. You struggle because ALL of it matters. And all of it keeps landing in the same day.Your challenge isn't choosing - it's making everything fit. What I often see with Integrators is that they're constantly adjusting around competing priorities........Without fully seeing what's creating the pressure. The Integrator trap:You become incredibly good at adjusting.School pickup changes? No problem - I’ll just move my work block to this evening.Dinner can’t happen because of baseball practice? OK, I’ll go research takealong meals so everyone gets fed.A client message comes in RIGHT when you’re closing down? Let me just handle this real quick - I’m sure it won’t take 30 seconds.Basically, you adapt.Again. And again. And AGAIN.Until one day you realize you're spending most of your energy rearranging the day… instead of participating IN it.Yeah, your copy project will still get finished - eventually. But it’s going to take 3 times longer because it keeps happening in 10-minute pieces. What Integrators often miss:The challenge isn't choosing between what matters. It's noticing what's forcing everything to compete for the same space.Which is usually when something starts feeling different. ‘Cause Tuesday still holds work, family, and real life - but it stops asking all of them to happen at 2pm. ;)The annoying part? You're probably going to notice your pattern again this week. Most moms end up thinking, "Wait... I just did that." But once you catch it while it's happening, your whole Tuesday is going to start making a lot more sense. :DSo think of the next few emails as borrowing my brain for a week. I'll point out the places you can start spotting your own pattern in real time - not 3 three hours later when you're wondering where your afternoon went. ;)→Give it a few minutes, then check your inbox. Tuesday's about to get a lot less sneaky.
